On Sept. 28, Saluting Branches held a day of service across the country. This one-day event honors American service men and women by organizing volunteer tree and landscape care for the property dedicated to our veterans. ACRT Services has supported this organization and its mission over the years by supporting our employee volunteers and sponsoring the cause. With over 80 locations nationwide and in Mexico, two locations demonstrated how our employees gave back.
New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, N.H. is home to over 100 acres honoring veterans and their dependents. Crystal Franciosi (pictured above) and Erin Dancy, both consulting utility foresters, spent the day providing their tree expertise and contributing to the health of the vegetation located on the property. Crews from across the industry united for the greater good.
ACRT Services employees participated in Lake View Cemetery located in Cleveland, Ohio. This historic cemetery is the final resting place of over 9,000 veterans. Armed with the confidence of backyard gardeners, the team pitched in wherever an extra hand was needed. From picking up sticks and dragging brush, to feeding the chipper and (wo)manning the registration booth, these office folks got to get their hands dirty and gain a glimpse into a field worker’s life.
Thank you to everyone who supported this cause in its eighth year. If you participated, please send us your pictures or share your experience at newsletter@acrtinc.com and we will feature it in an upcoming issue and on our social media. If you didn’t participate and you have an interest in learning more, reach out to Renee Bissett, director of marketing and communications and secretary of the Saluting Branches’ board of directors. The planning for the ninth Saluting Branches starts now!
